A solid pitch is short, containing just enough detail about your product to capture the attention of judges. It should convey your idea, why it is important, and identify:
- the problem you are solving
- the product’s target market and the business model used to reach it
- how your product solves the problem
- advantages you have over the competition
- what you want from the investor
This ‘teaser’ entices investors to schedule a follow-up meeting, hoping to satisfy their own curiosity. During the follow-up you can pitch your full plan, decide how the investor can help you and determine how you can help them.
